Villa Mambrini Sorrento Coast

Reviews

Exceptional in every aspect! We stayed at Villa Mambrini for 2 weeks in June with our family to celebrate my birthday. The whole experience totally exceeded our expectations! The owner, Fabrizio, does an exceptional job of ensuring that the villa is perfect and also attends to every other need. He is able to suggest excellent restaurants and beaches and other activites, and takes care of all bookings (boats along the coast, transport, live music for our party, shopping etc). The home is spotless and spacious. The gardens are beautiful. We had such fun picking vegetables and herbs from the garden and preparing our food in the well equipped kitchen. The pool is large, and there are plenty of loungers and ample shade to relax. The views of the coast are nothing short of spectacular, with sunsets to match. The local village has everything one needs to equip the villa and is a joy to visit with great restaurants and coffee shops and a beautiful church. We loved the chef who came to teach us how to make pasta, and also catered my birthday dinner. Home made pizza eaten under the stars was another highlight of our stay. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough for a group or family vacation. ( tripadvisor posted)

We stayed at Villa Mambrini for a week in July 2018. It was the most magical place. There were 3 families in our group, and we were all blown away by the beautiful home and grounds. The pictures online do not do it justice. The home was gorgeous, comfortable, luxurious, and spacious. Every detail was perfection. The grounds were breathtaking, as were the views. The kids loved picking veggies and herbs from the gardens to cook, and we all loved exploring the many gardens and hidden nooks of the property. What made the stay more special was the warmth and hospitality of Fabrizio, the owner. He was so welcoming and kind, and he check up on us during our stay to make sure everything was perfect. And, it was. On our last evening, we created a scavenger hunt on the property for the kids, who paired up in teams. It was so much fun. And, It was a great way to get one final look at each little special corner of this property. It is favorite vacation spot, and we will definitely go back.

Location is perfect for a 1-2 week stay to explore all that the region has to offer. The Villa itself is even better. The grounds also add a level of tranquility that we all enjoyed. We will be coming back!

Our stay at Villa Mambrini exceed our expectations. From the moment we checked in ! Fabrizio was a fantastic host and the amenities at the Villa are excellent. Our trip was one of the best ones we ever had. I just want to say Thank you so much for all the great memories we created at your Villa and for the future guest do not hesitate to select this place. Thank you Fabrizio and his crew to make us feel like home !

A special villa! My family just spent a week at Villa Mambrini, and it was fantastic. The location of the villa was a perfect home base for exploring all of the Amalfi coast. We were able to take advantage of the garden and pizza oven for dinner one night - creating some special family memories of that ‘first time’ event. As well, the workout room and laundry were both put to use everyday. Fabrizio has really thought of everything during the renovation, including the elevator, automatic shutters, large showers with plenty of hot water, and he was especially attentive after a storm knocked out the WIFI router: doing repairs as quickly as he could and keeping us updated throuought the down time. This truly is a fantastic villa!

Spent a glorious week at Villa Mambrini the first week of June, celebrating my 60th birthday with my siblings and our spouses. Even before we arrived, Fabrizio was more than accommodating, answering any and all questions we had, helping make reservations at Don Alfonso, providing suggestions for activities, making arrangements for our in-villa cooking class and our final night chef dinner. He even did a grocery pre-stock from a shopping list we sent before our arrival. Our welcome tour was pleasant, but not over-bearing, and again, he offered to obtain transfer services or anything else we possibly needed. (He even came back shortly after check-in to fix a blown fuse). The grounds of the villa and the views are equally beautiful. Be sure to walk the entire property to see some of the hidden gems. Morning coffee from the top floor terrace and sunsets from anywhere on the property were fabulous. Lots of different outdoor seating areas to read a book, have a glass of wine or enjoy a conversation. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub got a lot of use. The bedrooms were very comfortable and had great ensuite bathrooms, with equally great walk-in showers. The garden was not quite ready for harvesting, but is a great option for summer guests. Walking to Sant'Agata is lovely, especially if taking the back way. Ask Fabrizio about it. It's a lovely little town with shops, markets and restaurants. (Loved Café Orlando and of course our grand celebration at Don Alfonso). I could have spent even more time there. I would suggest taking a cab back from town, as the walk back is all uphill. We had a full week of side trips (Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi,Sorrento) and activities, usually with a private driver, but really wish we would have had more time to chill at the villa and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. We absolutely loved the cooking class and the chef dinner at the villa. Chef Elena did both for us and we couldn't have been more pleased with the quality (and quantity) of food that was prepared. Her assistant translated her Italian, as well as served all of the food. Our Friday evening chef dinner was the perfect ending to our week. We sadly left Villa Mambrini to go on a cruise from Rome to Athens. Had a known better, I would have spent two weeks at the villa, so we could space out our side trips, spend more time in Sant'Agata and just chill at the villa. I truly hope to return some day.

Amazing! Villa Mambrini is absolutely amazing! You couldn't ask for nicer accommodations. All bedrooms with en suite bathroom. Spacious common areas for gathering and relaxing. Great pool, hot tub and fitness room. Beautiful grounds, awesome views, amazing sunsets! The owner, Fabrizio is fabulous. So helpful and accommodating. He can arrange anything you'd like for activities, transportation, etc. His suggestions of activities and tours were great. He has an awesome chef that will come to the villa and prepare the most delicious meal. Our group of 8 did that on our first night. So wonderful and relaxing after a long day of travel. Can't wait to go back someday.

We just had a wonderful stay at Villa Mambrini this summer with my family including two young children (2 and4). The villa is exactly as you see in the photos, with an amazing pool perfect to enjoy the villa in the hot summer days. Fabrizio was a great host, helping us with all our needs including arranging the installation of a safety door in the stairs because of the children. The villa has a brick oven by the pergola perfect for pizza, which Fabrizio helped us booking a chef for one night to prepare the most amazing pizzas. Sorrento is the perfect location to stay as it is a big town with many restaurants and shops, and very close to all other nearby towns to visit during the day. I would highly recommend Villa Mambrini for anyone visiting Sorrento.

We booked this villa a year ago for our family of ten after having read such good reviews about it. Our family has experience in renting villas and Villa Mambrini exceeded our expectations and was the best we ever experienced. One member of our family described the villa as being on a luxury ship that did not move. This gated villa is fully supplied with anything you may need for your stay – equipped kitchen, large gathering areas, terrific bedrooms and bathrooms, a great bar with an ice maker, large swimming pool, hot tub, gym and sauna. Fabrizio is very attentive making sure that anything we needed was provided. The housekeeper is outstanding and the gardener keeps the villa grounds immaculate. Best of all are the views and magnificent sunsets. Our family members are very good cooks, so we were blown away by the bonus of having access to an extremely large terraced garden that provided tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant peaches, plums, figs, onions, herbs and more. We also were pleased with being so close to St Agata less than one mile from the villa, which had multiple butcher shops, a more-than-adequate grocery store, fishmongers, bakeries, fresh produce markets, fresh pasta shop, and a cheese shop that made fresh mozzarella and the very best ricotta cheese that we have ever eaten. In addition, when or if you do not want to cook the town has many outstanding restaurants including a Michelin two-star restaurant.

Paradise on a hill top! Wonderful holiday had by all my family,Villa Mambrini catered for our every need, the rooms were comfortable and spotless, the housekeeper came in each day to tidy up after us!without intrusion, the Gardner would arrive each morning to tend the huge garden, which is lovely to stroll around with the beautifully scented roses, Fabrizio is happy to help plan your stay from trips out to having a chef, for us he organised a boat trip for a day, taking us to Capri (which was exceptionally busy, next time we are going to go late afternoon,to avoid crowds)we lunched at Nurano which was both fabulous and extravagant, after lunch we sailed up the coast to view Positano and Amalfi from the sea. One of our great finds was a taxi company ARTAXI with Arturo De Gregorio, around the Villa are exceptionally good eating places and good wine! Arturo would pick us up and return us back safely,my daughters would have impromptu Italian lessons from this affable young man,the vehicle was clean and comfortable,we also arranged with him to drive us along the coast, visiting Positano,Ravello and Amalfi along the twisting and turning coast road, another exceptional day,if you get a chance to stay here please do,the only drawer back is you won't want to leave!

Cannot recommend this majestic villa enough! Our stay at Villa Mambrini was absolutely incredible. From the moment we pulled in our host Fabrizio and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The first meal for our party of seven in Italy was prepared by Fabrizio's recommended chef in house and it set the bar very high. Fabrizio arranged all of our accommodations and was able to answer every question we had about the Sorrento area, whether it was the ancient Roman history or a dinner recommendation. The views and sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. Pictures do not do this paradise justice. Pool, hot tub, brick oven, exercise room, sauna, fountains, terraced gardens, panoramic views, indoor and outdoor bar - the villa has SO much to offer. And there is a lot to take in in the surrounding area; Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Caprito name a few. Our only complaint was that we had to leave! We hope to visit Villa Mambrini and our host Fabrizio again sometime soon. We would highly recommend a stay for anyone looking for luxury and an incredible time on the Sorrento coast.

This property is simply fantastic. The views and grounds are unbeatable and the villa is extremely comfortable. Fabrizio coordinated our stay for a group of eight of us from start to finish and was a pleasure to work with. He responded quickly to any questions, booked transfers during our stay and arranged for us to hire a boat to cruise the coast. I can't imagine anyone not liking this place. Sitting on one of the many veranda's, enjoying a glass of wine and watching the breathtaking sunsets was unforgettable. Our entire group said alll of the beds were comfortable and the housekeeping was perfect. We also hired their chef for a night and I highly recommend her. If you have a group of friends or family that needs a villa in the Sorrento area, I highly recommend you stay here. Thank you Fabrizio for a wonderful stay

10 of us stayed here from 8-15th April and we absolutely loved it. It looks exactly as it does in the photos. A beautiful Villa in an amazing setting. Kitchen, bar, gym etc were fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. Hot tub was sooo good after a long day in Pompeii! Sorrento and Positano are beautiful towns to visit. We highly recommend this Villa, just stunning. Thank you Fabrizio.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Mambrini. The house , garden, fitness room, swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were well kept and the fantastic meals of Eliana made this an unforgettable week for the whole family. The coast is a bit too crowded and it was a relief being in Villa Mambrini with his amazing view and all the facilities.GG

Fantastic Villa! Well staffed and very comfortable. We stayed here with 4 couples and were met by Fabrizio on arrival. Great location near Sorrento with smaller towns closer by for shopping. You will want to have a rental car while here and I suggest the boat tour of the Amalfi coast rather than a road tour, you see so much more!

Amazing Villa!! Villa Mambrini is a beautiful, modern villa located in the hills of sorrento. The gardens were amazing , as was all of the delicious fruits and vegetables that grew there. The pool , gym and hot tub provided much needed relief after a day of sightseeing. The villa was more than spacious enough for our family of 12 and the kids loved taking the elevator instead of walking 2 flights of stairs. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the villa is located in the hills of sorrento so you need to rent a car or need to hire a car service to go down to sorrento. However , St. Agata is a cute little town only a few min away where they have great restaurants, markets and amazing gelato.

“Wonderful Villa near Sorrento” The Villa was beautiful. There are numerous terraces, and wonderful spaces in the Villa. The manager was very helpful, lined up a chef to come to the Villa to cook a special meal for us and was available to answer any questions we had. The place was spotless and everything was top quality. Our family had a wonderful week and loved coming home to the best Villa ever. Thank you for making our family get together the best ever.

We had a fantastic stay at the Villa Mambrini! We were in Italy to celebrate some special milestones with our extended family of 11 adults and children. The villa was perfect for our gathering, with 6 bedrooms (each with a private bath), a nice living area, a well-furnished kitchen, a large dining room table and lots of terraces with ample seating. The views are incredible. Even better than the pictures. At night we would watch the sun set into the sea. We brought a little Bose speaker along and played Italian music from Pandora as we sipped wine and watched the sky fill with color. The pool was beautiful....warm and sparkling clean. It overlooked the garden below and the view to the sea. There was a hot tub, sauna and even an exercise room! The grounds were much more spacious than we had expected. The kids enjoyed exploring. There was daily cleaning service and the villa was spotless. Fabrizio, the property manager, was incredibly helpful. He helped us arrange a surprise outing to Positano for our parent's anniversary, including lining up private transportation and recommending restaurants. He also arranged for a chef to prepare a dinner for us the last night. It was spectacular. Any questions we had throughout the stay were promptly addressed. Once day our internet wouldn't work and they were there immediately to fix it. Fabrizio seemed to genuinely care that we were having a good stay at the villa. The location of the villa is between Sorrento and Positano, very close to the small town of Sant'agata. There is a bus but you need to get to Sant'agata to catch it. The road outside the villa is narrow, without much of a shoulder, so it is difficult to walk there (especially with a group of 11). We rented cars and would sometime drive to Sant'agata, park and take the bus. That worked great. We also drove to Sorrento a few times, but you need to be prepared for crazy driving on congested, narrow streets (at least in July). We loved the area though! Both Sorrento and Positano are beautiful! I would highly recommend Villa Mambrini. It is perfect for an extended family and we couldn't have been happier with our stay! :)

Crazy not to stay here...it is fabulous! Six couples stayed at this villa and we were overwhelmed with how perfectly suited it was for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all top notch and most have fantastic views of the Bay of Naples. The top floor bedroom has views of the Bay of Naples and Bay of Salerno and Capri. The kitchen and common areas were large and perfect for a large group. It was well stocked with every plate, bowl, utensil, cup, pot, pan, coffee maker toaster and every drink glass you could possibly want or need. Great bar area to enjoy cocktails in the evening It is a gated property with plenty of parking and an elevator. It has a washer and dryer. We had 3 hours of maid service everyday and the villa was left spotless. Big bonuses about this villa....first, it has a huge terraced garden with fruit trees, herbs and all kinds of vegetables that we could pick and eat. It was funny to see how happy it made a group of 50 year olds to wander through the garden picking ripe produce for immediate consumption. There is a gardner there everyday who will also help for harvesting if needed. Second...the pool. The outdoor pool is fantastic and a great place to lounge after a day of touring. Towels are provided.( some of the women in our group thought the pool boy was a bonus too) Third...the evening views. The sunset from the villa is spectacular and we all bid farewell to the day to a glass of wine and a beautiful sunset every night. Fourth....the small village of Sant'Agata is a five minute drive. Sant'Agata has some top notch restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and a beautiful church. It is easy to get to, easy to drive around and easy to walk around. And lastly...Fabrizio the property manager is a delight. Very attentive, easy to reach and he was genuinely concerned that we enjoyed the villa and our holiday. This is the perfect place to enjoy the Amalfi Coast. It is right between Sorrento and Positano, but out of the hustle and bustle of those towns and an easy drive (30 minutes) to either. This is a perfect place for up to 6 couples.....book it.

Amazing villa This villa has everything you could want. The owners are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. It is high in the hills outside Sorrento so a car is a must. Therefore the views are beautiful. We had the whole family there complete with baby and we used all the faculties. The maid service was very useful and she was very helpful too. I would recommend this for a family holiday.

We stayed here for a week with a group of 12. Villa had updated amenities and a modern kitchen. Tableware and glassware was extensive. We had a chef prepare dinner one night and prepared our evening meals most nights. 5 bedrooms and bathrooms had views and large showers. One bedroom was not as nice. There was a hot tub, sauna, gym and pool. Also a barbecue grill and a wood burning pizza oven. Satellite TV and DVD. We had a good stay and the manager and staff were very helpful. Not too close to shopping or restaurants so you may consider a rental car. We would highly recommend this property.

We want to thank Fabrizio, & wonderful staff for a vacation of a lifetime for our family and friends. You did a wonderful job on the restoration of the house and property. After one day we felt like we were in our home. It is an experience we will never forget. We had a total of 45 friends and family here over the past two months and everyone raved over Villa Mambrini. We shall definetly return, and I'm sure all who come to Villa Mambrini will be just as pleased as we were. Jim & Lita Ribellino, & Family, also Serena
